Installation Set-ups and Accessories

Typical REDI-LINE Connections - The following items are typical for installation of a REDI-LINE generator:

Alternator - The vehicle alternator can be used to charge the generator battery. A continuous usage application may require a larger alternator. Consult your REDI-LINE distributor for more information.
Additional Battery or Batteries - If you will be using your REDI-LINE continuously or even frequently, you will need to install additional batteries to supply sufficient DC power to your generator.
Fuses - An in-line fuse or circuit breaker is required for the battery and also for the isolator. Follow User's Guide instructions for the proper amperage and installation location.
Isolator - When using auxiliary batteries with your generator, they should be isolated from the vehicle battery suing a battery isolator. The battery isolator is a one-way path so both batteries are charged by the vehicle but one battery can not discharge the other. The isolator requires a separate fuse - use the size specified by the manufacturer.
Cable - Use recommended cable sizes as shown in User's Guide. Using the wrong supply cable size will damage the generator.
